Wanda L. Berry

Wanda L. Berry, 97, wife of the late Robert V. Berry and dear mother of James Berry and Judith (Carl) Smith, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Ohio Valley Health Care Center.

She is also survived by grandson, Mark Smith of Lagrange, Ohio, granddaughter, Leanne (Art) Rufo of Vermilion, Ohio and grandson, Tory Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio. Beloved great-grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica), Renee (Mike Erkkila), Alan and Austin (Ashley), John and Mike Rufo, and four great-great-grandchildren, all of Ohio.

Wanda was born July 10, 1920 at Sand Fork, WV, where she graduated from High School in 1938. She and Bob celebrated 67 years of marriage prior to his death in 2007. Both were dedicated members of Seventh Street United Methodist Church, where they shared many treasured friendships and memories.

In spite of physical problems that she endured for many years, Wanda found great joy in caring for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her sunny disposition, her great faith in God and her love of cooking and being a homemaker.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St., Parkersburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brad Davis officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Meadowlane Cemetery, Glenville, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the church in memory of Wanda.
