Steven A. Tennant, 66, of Parkersburg passed away at his residence January 31, 2018. Steve was born to the union of Perry C. and Effie Tennant on April 14, 1951. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Vienna.
He is survived by daughter Stacey Tennant-Bell and her husband David of Clarksburg, the two joys of his life, his granddaughters, Emma and Madison Bell of Clarksburg, his sisters Marty Tennant of Parkersburg and Marcie Tennant Vannoy (Ray) of Michigan, two nieces and three nephews, four great-nieces and two great- nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his brother, Perry Tennant and sister, Edra Tennant Homer.
He enjoyed watching sports especially when the Boston Celtics or the Cleveland Browns were playing. He previously played softball in Clarksburg and his teammates nicknamed him “Crusher”. He was previously employed as a salesman for Tony’s Pizza, Snyder’s and Keebler. His friendly and outgoing personality played a major part in earning top sales awards.
The family would like to thank Florence “Flo” White, John Flattery, Reverend and Mrs. Charlie Stanley and the staff of Lakeview Estates.
At Steve’s request there will no services. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
