Roger “Cowboy” Cox

Roger “Cowboy” Cox, 64, of Cairo, WV, passed away due to cancer on January 1, 2018 at his residence.

He was born May 30, 1953 in Harrisville, WV the son of the late Herman Cox and Sue Cox of Pullman. He had worked as a carpenter, Charleston Union Local 436. Roger loved his family, friends, carpentry and fishing. Those who knew him couldn’t help but love his sense of humor, loving ways and work ethic.

He leaves behind his wife, Brenda; daughter, Liberty (Denzil) Welsh of Hilliard, OH; son Samuel (Lorie) Cox of Williamstown; granddaughters, Sophia Cox and Kenley Welsh; brothers, Timothy (Linda) Cox of Pullman, Kenneth (Beth) Cox of Harrisville; sister, Pamela (Bill) Ward of Pennsboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Per his wishes a memorial gathering will be held at The Harrisville Woman’s Club on Jan. 6, 2018 from 2-5 P.M. Meats and salads will be provided, covered dishes are welcomed.
