Arlie Jean (Kuhl) Godfrey, Morrell, Burkhammer, Dunlap

Arlie Jean (Kuhl) Godfrey, Morrell, Burkhammer, Dunlap of Saint Albans, WV was born November 6, 1926 in Withers, WV, crossed over the river to heaven on November 27, 2017, while resting peacefully at Hospice West.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Alda Ruth (Kuhl) Godfrey and O.C. Godfrey; one infant daughter, Linda Kay Morrell (1947); Charles Gene Morrell, husband; W.P. Burkhammer, husband; T.C. Dunlap, husband; Monika Blair, sister; Kenneth Godfrey, brother; 3 half-brothers; 3 half-sisters, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Those remaining to miss her greatly are son, Danny G. Morrell Sr. (Loretta); grandson, Danny G. Morrell Jr. (Raquel); and 4 great grandchildren; daughter, Sandra Sue Kesselring “Turley”; granddaughters Charmaine Lynn Kesselring, Jean Elizabeth Tincher and husband Rick. Her only remaining sister, Patricia (Peepsie) Leach, and many many nieces and nephews from the Kuhl, Godfrey and Morrell families.

She will also be missed by stepsons, Billy Paul Burkhammer, Johnnie Burkhammer and their respective families; Stepchildren, T.C. Dunlap Jr., Tom Dunlap, Peggy Dunlap, children of Joyce Dunlap and their respective families.

Jean leaves behind many friends from her numerous walks of life from Shoney’s to Holiday Inns to First Baptist Church and Hansford Senior Center of St. Albans, WV. She was a lifelong member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 13 of Williamstown, WV.

Jean has gifted her earthly body to Marshall University School of Medicine. A memorial service will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you please donate to The American Diabetes Association, Hospice House or the charity of your choice.
