Robert S. Tice

Robert S. “Bob” Tice, 91, of Belmont, WV, passed away, November 26, 2017, at his residence. He was born, August 14, 1926, on Shay Ridge, Washington County, OH, a son of the late William Solomon and Bessie Carrie Haught Tice. Bob was retired from American Cyanamid. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and the Pittsburgh School of Refrigeration. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Marys, WV, where he had served as a Deacon. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. He served in the Motor Pool and was stationed in Japan and the Philippines. He was a member of the St. Marys Masonic Lodge #41 A. F. & A. M. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing games with his grandkids.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Carrie Robinson, with whom he made his home, granddaughter, Elizabeth (Scott) McCutcheon of Fairmont, WV, great grandson, Nikolas J., sisters-in-law, Grace Fetty of Belmont, WV, and Susie Wolfe of Waverly, WV, brothers-in-law, Charles F. Weekley of Belmont, WV, and Thomas (Ethel) Weekley of St. Marys, WV, several nieces and nephews, and caregiver, Linda Felton. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Weekley Tice, granddaughter, Melissa Robinson, son-in-law, Jeffrey Robinson, and sister, Janice Burkhart. The family would like to thank Journey Hospice for Bob’s exceptional care.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 1 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV, with Arnold Huyghebaert and Rob Fraser officiating. Interment will be in the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery, Park Section, with military rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P. M. Tuesday, and from 12 noon to 1 P. M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
