Richard Johnson, 72, born in Fairmont, WV. Died at home after a courageous battle of cancer on November 8th at his home with family members. Son of late Gerald and Opal Johnson. Graduated from Kyger Creek High school in Chesire, Ohio in 1963. He retired from Walker/Textron/Wiremold of 35yrs of service. He lived in Belpre, Ohio.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, scuba diving, airplane pilot had his own plane, flying remote control airplanes, golfing with his buddies and family, and riding his motorcycle. Traveling by auto or by motorcycle. He loved long country rides with his wife, Gloria.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and daughter Nanette Johnson, and Beulah Autherson his mother in law.
Surviving are his wife Gloria [Autherson] of 54 yrs., son Tony and Denise Johnson, WV., daughter Michelle Johnson, Belpre, OH. grandson Derek Johnson, WV., brother Don Johnson Marietta, OH., Sister in law Bea Jay and Ralph Conkel Piketon, OH., and adopted daughter Charla Marks and her son Daniel Marks, several nieces and nephews and cousins. Aunts and uncles Clarence and Lucille Atherton Longbottom, OH, Roy and Jean Johnson Warren, OH.

Services will be on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Ron Calvert officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Burial will at the Mt. Herman Cemetery in Meigs County, Ohio.
