Jack Gilbert Hannaman
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Jack Gilbert Hannaman, 88, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away November 23, 2017, in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, following a brief illness.
He was born in Veto, OH, a son of the late Marvin Arthur and Ora Faye (Hill) Hannaman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; brother, Robert Hannaman and two sisters, Margaret Miracle and Joyce Rogers.
Jack graduated from Parkersburg High School and furthered his education at Marietta College where he obtained his BA Degree in Economics. In 1947 he joined the United States Navy 503 where he served in the Korean War for four years. He was a retired Loss Control Representative for Erie Insurance Group, Parkersburg. Jack had such a kind heart and unique sense of humor and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his fellow veteran friends. He will always be deeply missed by his loving family.
Suvivors include his daughters, Brenda Miller and her husband Don of Simpsonville, S.C., Carolyn Dresbach of Circleville, OH; grandchildren, Hugh B. Dresbach, Andrew Dresbach, Miles Dresbach all of Circleville, OH, Jonathan Miller of Brooklyn, NY; granddaughters, Stephanie Cleveland, Elizabeth Dresbach both of Circleville, OH and Jessica Miller and her husband Matt of Greer, SC.; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Landon Cleveland, Juliet and Wells Miller and several nieces and nephews.
Committal service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Sunset Memory Gardens Chapel of Peace Mausoleum. He will then be laid to rest by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth.
