Nile Dorn Eddy Sr.

Nile Dorn Eddy Sr., 90, of Parkersburg, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Camden Clark Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He was born July 20, 1927, in Parkersburg, son of the late William and Anna Rutter Eddy.

Nile was a U.S. Army Veteran. He along with his wife, Mary owned and operated Faith Plumbing, established in 1980. He was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, his cats, hunting, fishing and reading his Bible. He was a big fan of all WVU sports, the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Burnfield Lemon Eddy; 2 daughters, Linda Moneypenny (Butch), Anita June Somerville (Butch); 3 step-daughters, Lee Ann Maul (Alan), Janet Bosley (Tom) and Katy Cain (Dick) all of Parkersburg; 2 sons, Danny Eddy (Susan) and Jeff Eddy both of Parkersburg; one step-son, Burl “Smitty” Lemon II (Brenda) of Zanesville, OH; 1 brother, Mark Eddy of Parkersburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Nile was preceded in death by his first wife, Ramona Ford Eddy; 2 sons, Randall “Dusty” Eddy and Nile D. Eddy Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Tri-City Baptist Church, south Parkersburg with Pastor Joe Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
