Kristie Dawn Adams

Kristie Dawn Adams, 44, of Ellenboro, W.Va., departed this life on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, following her extended illness.

Kristie was born April 22, 1973, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late James Charles and Sheila Ann (Licot) Taylor. Kristie worked as a teacher counselor at Pressley Ridge of Walker, W.Va., and most recent as a therapeutic consultant for RIM of St. Marys, W.Va. She was a proud graduate of Ritchie County High School in 1991 and she went on to earn her Master’s Degree from Fairmont State University in 1996 in English. She was a member of the Pennsboro Church of Christ and belonged to a local support group for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Kristie was one of the biggest fans of WVU and she loved hanging out with her grandchildren, supporting her daughter, being the family counselor, and knitting.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kyle Adams; daughter, Ascena Taylor of Pennsboro, W.Va.; stepson, Jordan Adams (Andrea) of Lubeck, W.Va.; grandchildren, Parker and Kenzie Adams; and her siblings, Dale Taylor of Ellenboro, W.Va., Lane Taylor of Hamilton, Ohio, Patience Hilvers of Pennsboro, W.Va., Lena Garito of Pennsboro, W.Va.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Melanie Taylor.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, W.Va., with Evang. Terry Jones and Rev. Anthony Farr officiating. Burial will follow in the Pullman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
