Andrew Click

Andrew Click, 77, of Cottageville, W.Va., passed away on Oct. 18, 2017. He was born Feb. 25, 1940, at home in Jackson County, W.Va., the son of the late Andrew “Pole” Click and Bertha Donahue Click.

Andrew was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Bay of Pigs in Bourdeaux, France. He was retired from Steelworker Union Local 5668 and attended the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church.

Andrew is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol Shirlene Huffman Click; son Leopold Click; daughter Carl Rene Harless of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandchildren, Kristopher Miller and Alyssa Harless; sister Lucille Click (Alfonso) Morales; nieces and nephews Angela Morales, Alfonso Morales Jr., David Knopp, Teresa Thomas and Alisha Hughes; and great-nephew Nathan Morales.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Click; sisters Mildred Schoonover, Pauline Petty and Dorothy Knopp; and niece Susan Petty Stoops.

During his life, Andrew was known to help anybody in need, and he continues after his death by donating his body to West Virginia University for Parkinson’s research.

As per his wishes, there will be no public service. Donations can be made to the Evergreen Hills Freewill Baptist Church.
