Terry Lynn Clayton
Terry Lynn Clayton, age 51, passed away July 21, 2017, in Covington, Georgia, where she lived.
She was born November 27, 1965, in Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of Aletha Lehew Frabel and Larry Wright.
She is survived by her children, Byron Clayton of Morgantown and grandchildren Irulan and Vera, Shannon Barill (Chris) of Washington, D.C., and grandchildren Evelyn and Edith, Alex Clayton of Colorado, Courtney Clayton of Parkersburg and grandchildren Connor Mayes and Collin Clayton; brother, Bruce (Kace) Douglas of Vienna; her mother, Aletha Lehew Frabel; stepfather, Bruce Douglas; and many relatives.
Terry graduated from Parkersburg High School. She was a devoted mother and lived life to the fullest through everyday pleasures, chatting and visiting with family and friends, drawing, painting and reading, particularly English history. Terry loved animals, especially cats, and lovingly cared for many.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, 532 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 on August 12 at 11 a.m. with Father John Rice as celebrant. Interment of ashes will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Following interment, a luncheon reception will be held at the parish hall, 609 Market St., Parkersburg. Donations may be made in Terry’s name to St. Francis Xavier Church.
