David M. Fankhauser
David M. Fankhauser, 30, of Parkersburg, WV died on August 7, 2017. He was born September 9, 1986 in Douglasville, GA and was the son of Thomas Sr. and Rachel McCullough Fankhauser of Belpre, Ohio. He was a Army Veteran and served in Iraq with the 7th Calvary. He earned his Eagle Scout with Troop #6 Parkersburg. David was proud of his military service and was even more proud of being a father.
Survivors include his parents, his wife Toni Fankhauser, his two daughters, Ava and Adelyn Fankhauser of Parkersburg, his step children, Michael Derose, Parkersburg, Maleena Walker, Parkersburg, two brothers, William Fankhauser III, of Belpre, Thomas Fankhauser II, of Athens, half sister Sarah, and half brothers Tim and Jacob Elbert all of Clarksburg. Also surviving is his maternal grandmother, Betty McCullough of Belpre.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Elmo McCullough, and grandmother, Helen Fankhauser.
Services will be on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Steven Joy officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cairo, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to services. Military rites will be conducted following services at the funeral home by the Marietta VFW and Marietta American Legion.
