Clyde Barringer

Clyde Barringer, 86, of Belpre, OH passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Camden-Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV.

He was born March 3, 1931 in Coolville, OH, son of the late James and Laura Pullins Barringer. Clyde was an Army Veteran and a member of the Aladdin Shrine Temple in Columbus since 1963, the Scottish Rites in Marietta since 1963, the Masonic Lodge 337 F&AM in Coolville, Valley of Cambridge, Belpre Shrine Club, American Legion and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. He was also a member of the Gospel Baptist Church in Torch and a Line Supervisor for Elkem Metals.

He is survived by three daughters, Dottie (Ronald) Deem, Charlotte (Jim) Smith and Rosa Barringer; three sons, Monty (Agnes) Barringer, Danny (Kim) Barringer and Andy Barringer; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Barringer; a sister-in-law, Fera Lou Barringer; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Barringer; two sons, David and Clyde, Jr.; an infant son and an infant daughter.

Services will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH with Pastor Jay Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Coolville Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Parkersburg American Legion Post 15.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
