Peggy Lynn Gumm

Peggy Lynn Gumm, 61, of Parkersburg passed away March 20, 2017.

She was born at Tanner, WV, the daughter of the late Claude C. Frymier and Marjorie C. Williams Koontz (Teddy) of Newark, WV.

She had worked in the Chem Lab at E.I.Dupont as a Lab Technician and was Methodist by faith.

She loved the outdoors especially flowers and birds, she was an avid reader and was kind hearted and had a smile that would light up a room and she adored her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and was a perfect friend.

In addition to her mother and stepfather she is survived by her children, Sheri L. Gumm (Mikael) of Vienna, WV, and John L. Gumm (Deidre) of Grantsville, WV. Her grandchildren, Lexi C. Wade of Vienna and Jacob L. Gumm of Grantsville, WV. Her siblings, James L. Frymier of Parkersburg, Robert T. Koontz of Westerville, OH, William C. Frymier of Smithville, WV, Melissa Easton of McFarland, WV, Jessica Sharps of Smithville, WV, Jacob Frymier of Smithville and Jamie Frymier of Smithville, WV, and his stepmother, Laura Frymier of Smithville, WV.

He was preceded in death by one stepbrother and one stepsister.

Memorial services will be Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Leavitt Family Center, 620 Avery Street in Parkersburg. The family will recieve friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers please donate to medical research or your favorite charity.
