Margaret Ann Congrove
Margaret Ann Congrove, 84, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Camden Clark Medical Center after a long battle with Alzheimers.
She was born October 11, 1932, in Leroy, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jennings Bryan Tolley and Lora (Kelley) Tolley.
Margaret was a registered nurse who graduated from St. Joseph’s Nursing School. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and later at the Shady Rest Nursing Home in Vienna. Margaret had a smile for everyone and was also always willing to help others. She was a member of the East Vienna United Methodist Church, where she used to teach children’s Sunday School. Margaret will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Brian Franklin Congrove, Beth Ann Stephens (Bob Vanscoy) and Eric Lawrence Congrove, all of Vienna; three sisters, Evelyn Pursley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Eileen Sullivan of Five Forks, W.Va., and Agnes Keirns of Akron, Ohio; her two grandchildren, John Thomas Congrove of Waycross, Ga., and Karen Marie Congrove of Marietta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Congrove; her son-in-law, Eugene Stephens; one brother, William Harold Tolley; and two sisters, Eugenia Emrick and Louise Clark.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna, with Pastor Carolyn Nettles officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
