Vivian Ruth (Lamp) (Dotson) Boron

It is with great sadness that we, the children of Vivian Boron, announce the passing of our mother on February 22, 2017. She died from cancer at the age of 62.

Born on December 16, 1954, she is the second daughter of Clyde Lamp and Lois Medley. She graduated from St. Marys High School in 1973. After working at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a unit secretary for 2 years, she went on to work at the Pleasants County Bank for 27 years.

Survivors include: Christopher Dotson, son, of San Benito, Texas; and Monica McDonald (Mac), daughter, of St. Marys, WV, and Kyle Boron (Natasha) step-son of Rinard Mills, Ohio. Jed and Lois Medley, parents of Belmont, WV. Sonia Parks (Michael) sister, of North Carolina; Gina West (Jerry), sister of St. Marys, WV; Marshall Lamp (Renee), brother of St. Marys, WV; Shawn Parks, nephew of North Carolina; Michelle Stapleton, niece of North Carolina; and Gary Boron, husband of Rinard Mills, Ohio. And seven grandchildren: Preston, Addy, and Avery McDonald, Sadie Dotson, and Garren, Branden, and Kaysan Boron.

Family preceding her in death include: Clyde Lamp, father of St. Marys, WV; as well as Gary Raymond Dotson, father to her children (Monica and Christopher), who also died from cancer at the age of 51 on July 24, 2008.

At Vivian’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral.
