Diane Butcher

Diane Butcher, 59, of Pennsboro, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Diane was born September 9, 1957, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Homer and Bessie (Jones) Brooks. She was a proud graduate of Pennsboro High School with the class of 1976 and a member of the Wince Chapel United Methodist Church of Pike, WV. As a teenager, Diane began working as a papergirl in Pennsboro, WV, where she got to meet many people. Over the years, she worked at various jobs in the area but mostly enjoyed her time working at The Flower Station in Pennsboro, WV, with her best friends, Sue White and Sharon Headley. She ended her working career retiring from Fenton Art Glass of Williamstown, WV, while also being a loving and devoted housewife for her family. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, supporting Ritchie County Athletics, and being around people.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Tim Butcher who were married on March 16, 1977; daughter, Mandy Fetty (Marc) of Alma, WV; twin granddaughters, Emily and Mya Fetty of Alma, WV; siblings, Larry Brooks (Ellen) of Parkersburg, WV; Susie Davis (Mike) of Washington, WV; JR Brooks (Cindy) of West Union, WV; Kim McCloy (Randy) of Ellenboro, WV; father in law, Bill Butcher of Pike, WV, along with several loving nieces and nephews, and brother and sister in laws.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Janice Butcher, and infant sister, Charlotte Brooks.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV, with Rev. Don Newlon officiating. Burial will follow in the Wince Chapel Cemetery in Pike, WV. Visitation will be from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
