Freddie L. Sturm
Freddie Lounette Sturm, 94, a resident at Wyngate at River’s Edge in Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Johnson Street, Grantsville, W.Va., and Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at The Wyngate at River’s Edge Senior Living, Proctorville, Ohio.
She was born May 28, 1922, in Houlka, Miss., daughter of the late Fred and Emma James.
She retired from the Calhoun County, W.Va., Board of Education. She was a member of the Eastern Star, First Baptist Church of Grantsville, W.Va., and North Baptist Church of Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sturm Jr.; and one sister, Anna Grace Roberts.
She is survived by three children, Linda Sturm of Huntington, W.Va., Jim Sturm and his wife, Jean, of Proctorville, Ohio, and Patricia Propst and her husband, Mike, of Grantsville, W.Va.; and four grandchildren, Zachary and his wife, Nikita Propst, of Reader, W.Va., Carrie Propst of Knoxville, Tenn., Amy Sturm of Huntington, W.Va., and Jason Sturm of Fayetteville, W.Va.
There will be a graveside memorial service at the Sturm family cemetery in Mt. Zion, W.Va., at a later date.
Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio, is assisting the family with arrangements.
