Olin Everett Primm

Olin Everett Primm, 84, of West Union, W.Va., Oxford Road Community, departed this life on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.

Olin was born Oct. 14, 1929 on Cabin Run in Doddridge County, W.Va., a son of the late C. Hall and Lorena (Smith) Primm. He was retired as a school bus operator for the Doddridge County Board of Education after 28 years of service to the students of Doddridge County. Olin also worked as a proud cow and calf farmer for many years and was formerly employed by Weirton Steel. He was a long-time member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of West Union and a graduate of Doddridge County High School with the class of 1948.

Olin was a 50-year member of Friendship Lodge #56 AF & AM of West Union, a 32 degree Scottish Rite of Free Masonry of Clarksburg, W.Va., and a member of the Nemesis Shrine in Parkersburg, W.Va. He was also a member of the West Virginia Farm Bureau and the West Virginia Cattleman Association.

Olin is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Virginia (Morgan) Primm, who were married on May 21, 1954; daughter, Donna Jeanne Dotson (Charles) of West Union, W.Va., Oxford Road Community; granddaughters, Megan Danielle Dotson of West Union, W.Va., Oxford Road Community and Ashley Nicole Dilger (David) of New Milton, W.Va.; sister and brother-in-law Donna Lee and Paul Williams of Pennsboro, W.Va.; brother and sister-in-law Loren Hall Primm and Ruth Ann of West Union, W.Va., Oxford Road Community, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Prim and sister-in-law, Ethel Prim.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, W.Va., with Pastor David McCauley officiating. Burial will follow the funeral in the West Union Masonic Memorial Park, near West Union, W.Va. where full masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Friendship Lodge #56 AF & AM of West Union, W.Va. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
