Peggy Jo Hall

Peggy Jo Hall, 75, of Smithville, died July 8, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 28, 1939, in Porta Rico community, Doddridge County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Paul Wilson and Dessie Lou Brown Clevenger.

Peggy was a member of Smithville Baptist Church. She had worked at the former Stanley Family Restaurant, later named McCoy Restaurant, Smithville. She loved watching her grandchildren, cooking and taking care of people. She enjoyed watching the Ritchie Rebels, Pelham Panthers, AL, WVU Mountaineers and University of Charleston sporting events. She loved her dialysis family.

She married her husband Pat Hall on May 27, 1964, and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Angela Riggs (Randall) of Harrisville, Kimberly Hall, J. Patrick Hall and P. Samuel Hall (Vanessa), all of Smithville, and Rebecca Burnett (Brett) of Pelham, Ala.; grandchildren, Shannon Brown (Evan), Danielle Stanley, Lindsay Robison (Chase), Samuel Hall, Freddy Hall and Logan Burnett; great-grandchildren, Brandon Brown and Alexa Brown; and siblings, Edward Clevenger, Jane Spencer, Bunker Clevenger, David Clevenger, Danny Clevenger, Nancy Knight and Judy Bishop. She was preceded death by an infant daughter, Jo Ann; grandson, Casey Brian Stanley; and sisters, Helen Anderson, Mary Rohde, Bette McMillan, Dorothy Adams and Louise Henry.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the funeral home, and from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the funeral home.
