Harley McIntire, 86, of Parkersburg, passed away July 1, 2014, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
He was born in Wood County, the son of the late Coleman and Alberta Bell McIntire.
He had retired from Storck’s Bakery after many years of service, and enjoyed spending time with familly and friends. He was a member of the Williamstown Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sons, Gary McIntire of Huntington, W.Va., Okey McIntire of Marietta, Ohio, Ernie McIntire of Davisville, W.Va., and Michael McIntire of Parkersburg; his daughters, Carolyn Sams of Parkersburg, Sheila McIntire of Parkersburg, and Betty McIntire, with whom he resided; 12 grandchildren including a special granddaughter with whom he resided, Carol Sams; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Blosser McIntire; one daughter, Debra McIntire; one son, Ricky McIntire; and five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Evangelist Dave Powers officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 4.
