Jerry L. Eddy

A memorial service for Jerry L. Eddy is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at The Independent Baptist Church, Vienna, with Pastor Michael Elder officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of our family and friends for their prayers, cards and support. We would also like to thank Dr. Abhyankar and his staff, Amedisys Hospice and Parkersburg Care and Rehab for the care they provided for him.

Jerry L. Eddy, 80, of Parkersburg, passed away Sunday, March, 2, 2014.

He was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Parkersburg, a son to the late William H. and Anna C. Eddy.

Over the years, Jerry owned and operated many businesses, was a licensed Journeyman and he attended The Independent Baptist Church in Vienna. He was a very talented artist and visionary, and he was very proud of his Indian heritage.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Eddy; five brothers, Ronald, Marion, Lindsey, Mirel and Gary; and six sisters, Opal, Vivian, Pat, Toni, Iris and Joan. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Goodwin (Jim) of Parkersburg; brothers, Leon Eddy of Charleston, Nile Eddy (Mary) and Mark Eddy, both of Parkersburg; grandson, D. Eric DeBarr (Bonnie) of Denver, Colo.; great-grandchild, Devin DeBarr of Denver; along with the “other daughter”, Sally Blake; and many nieces, nephews and extended family; and special friend, Billy Dennis.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at The Independent Baptist Church, Vienna.
