Marvin D. Buckley

Marvin (Bub) D. Buckley, 69, of Coolville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

He was born Aug. 27, 1944, in Parkersburg, son of the late Herman C. and C. Alice Buckley.

He was a 1963 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member and retiree after 40 years of service with Sheet Metal Local 33-Parkersburg district. He enjoyed displaying his Model 1955 Oliver Tractor at local shows, working on antique tractors, miscellaneous projects, taking care of his beef cattle, listening and watching country and bluegrass music, and attending Ohio University football. He especially enjoyed attending the Tri State Engine and Tractor Show in Portland, Ind., with his brother each year. Marvin and Wilma attended Vanderhoof Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wilma K. Pullins Buckley; son, Ronald D. (Brenda) Buckley; grandchildren, Ryan Buckley and Carlie Buckley; his brother, Melvin D. (Alice) Buckley; nephew, Tim (Paula) Buckley; and nieces, Christina (Joe) Schreckengost and Belinda (Mike) Niday. He is also survived by three great-nieces; a great-nephew; by several brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous cousins; and his special friends, John Bennett and Suzanne Morgan of Jane Lew, W.Va.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, Ohio, with Pastor Craig Holler officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Belpre, Ohio. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the service today.
