Kathy Giffen, 54, of Parkersburg, died on Feb. 23, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Wood County, W.Va., on Dec. 11, 1959, and was the daughter of the late Edward M. Grogg and Ethel Carter Grogg of Williamstown, W.Va.
Kathy enjoyed her grandchildren, her pets and her friends.
Survivors include her mother; two sons, Chad (Jennifer) Giffen and Bradley Giffen, both of Belpre. Also surviving are three grandchildren, McKayla Giffen, Kolten Giffen and IssaBella Giffen; two brothers, Lou (Karen) Grogg of Lubeck and Mike Grogg of Arnoldsburg, W.Va.; and two sisters, Kim Hillman of Parkersburg and Tina (Jim) Davis of Williamstown, W.Va. Also, a special friend, Kathy Greathouse; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Lawrence Giffen; and a brother, Wayne Grogg.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb 28, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the funeral home.
