Betty P. Bargeloh Gall
Betty P. Bargeloh Gall, 85, passed away Jan. 30, 2014, at the Emeritus of Marietta.
She was born in Mineral Wells, W.Va., the daughter of the late J. Mason and Stella Jackson Bargeloh.
She was a 1946 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a 1956 graduate of West Virginia University and was part of the International Farm Youth Exchange spending six months in Switzerland in 1954. She had worked for many years with the West Virginia Extension Service as a 4-H Club Agent in Harrison and Kanawha counties, and also had worked for the Bacon Convalesent Center. She was most recently a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Panama City, Fla., had served as Choir Director for Methodist Temple in Clarksburg, W.Va., and Pianist and Choir Director for Forest Park Methodist Church in Panama, Fla. She had served as president for the Panama City Garden Club and was active with Operation Cinderella and the Panama City Azalea Trail. She was instrumental with the establishment of the Robert E. and Betty P. Gull Scholarship Fund to support the education of her grand-nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Walter of Wellington, Ohio; brothers, Robert Bargeloh of Parkersburg, Clifford Earl Bargeloh and wife, Greta, of Parkersburg, Arthur Wayne Bargeloh and wife, Barbara, of Mineral Wells and Wesley Bargeloh and wife, Martha, of Parkersburg; numerous niece, nephews, grand-nieces, grand nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews; as well as numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Gall; and her son, Robert Douden Gall.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Mineral Wells, with Dr. Gary Shepard and Pastor Kevin Lantz officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, and at the church one hour prior to the service Tuesday.
