Barbara “Helene” Hescht, 52, of Parkersburg, passed away Nov. 11, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
She was born April 21, 1961, in Parkersburg, a daughter of James and Barbara Burns Adams of Parkersburg.
Helene attended Parkersburg South High School and worked for 32 years at the Broadway Sandwich Shop. She enjoyed shooting pool and was a member of V.E.N.A. and B.C.A. 8 Ball Billiard Leagues and was a member of the 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church. Helena was a loving wife, mother and she enjoyed her family and her special pet dogs, Lady, Bella and Toby.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Marc A. Hescht; son, Joe Hescht (Michelle McCord) of Belleville, W.Va.; sister, Shuana Miller of Parkersburg; two brothers, James Adams and Shane Adams, both of Belleville, W.Va.; half-brother, Allen Williamson (Betty) of Sumerco, W.Va.; grandchild, Ryan (Hescht) Sutton; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Howerton (Phil) and Lisa Cornell, all of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Tom Leasure officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
