Harold F. Barker
On September 11, 2013, Harold F. Barker, 87, of Big Creek, W.Va., formerly from Vienna, peacefully died at home near his place of birth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Hurston and Maude Ann Sanders Barker; brothers, Opie, Luther and Casto; sisters, Elizabeth, Nell and Loretta; and wife, Ada Belle Heugel Barker. He is survived by brother, Bob; and sisters, Opal and Mae; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Bill Sorensen of Duluth, Minn.; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mary Barker of Decatur, Tenn.; grandsons, Todd and Curtis; step-grandson, Eric Rowland; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ian and Brielle.
A U.S. Marine, Harold served in an engineer battalion in the Pacific during WWII and was an active member of the VFW Honor Guard of Chapmanville, W.Va. He worked as General Repairman for Kaiser Aluminum, Belpre, where he missed only one day of work in 30 years of labor.
Harold is now receiving his reward for accepting the only way to heaven: acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Jeannette Russ, 93, of Columbus, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel in Columbus. Visitation on Monday, 1 p.m. until time of service.

James “Woody” Wilson, 87, of Parkersburg, passed away Oct. 17, 2013, at The Arbors of Marietta.
A celebration of his life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Leavitt Family Center, 620 Avery St., Parkersburg. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m Sunday.
