Steven Mark “Stevie” Mullen, II
Steven Mark “Stevie” Mullen, II, 21, of Arnoldsburg, died at 11:31 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, in the CAMC-General Hospital, Charleston, from injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born July 9, 1992 in Parkersburg.
Stevie was an employee of Cunningham Energy, Charleston, and a former corrections officer. He was a member of the Spencer Roane Volunteer Fire Department and a 2010 graduate of Roane County High School. Stevie was an active member of the Roane County FFA. Also, he enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Mary Beth and Samuel McCumbers of Arnoldsburg; father, Steven Mark Mullen and Gina Hardbarger of Reedy; sister, Sarah Beth Mullen of Arnoldsburg; half-sister, Savannah Jo Carr of Arnoldsburg; step-sister, Stephanie Jean McCumbers of Arnoldsburg; girlfriend, Jessica Elaine McPherson of Looneyville; maternal grandmother, Sharon Lea Chapman of Arnoldsburg; paternal grandparents, Richard E. and Helen R. “Jean” Mullen of Reedy; and maternal great-grandmother, Arlene Hanna of Arnoldsburg. His paternal grandfather, Frederick Chapman, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, with graveside ceremonies accorded by the Spencer Roane Volunteer Fire Department Honor Guard and other area emergency agencies, will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
