Cheryl Lynn “Sherry” Montgomery, 55, of Parkersburg, went to be with her Jesus on Sept. 2, 2013, from Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 1958 in Parkersburg, a daughter of Bonnie Jean McBride Hopkins of Parkersburg, and the late Earl Samuel McDonald.
Sherry attended PSHS and was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Union Valley Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, worked a lot with the youth and the VBS.
Surviving is her husband, Clyde Michael “Mickey” Montgomery; one son, Morgan Taylor (Nikki) Montgomery; a daughter, Tina Marie Montgomery, and a step-son, Michael Robin (Lacey) Montgomery, all of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Alexis Full, Isabella, Lucas, Cammi and Hunter Montgomery; three brothers, Michael Gail McDonald, Earl Samuel “Boe” (Sherry) McDonald Jr. and Daren James McDonald; and one sister, Misty Dawn Hopkins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Shawn McDonald.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m., at the Union Valley Baptist Church at 3349 Old St. Marys Pike, Rev. William Law will officiate. There will be a reception following the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
