Rolla “Butch” Somervill

Rolla Dillon “Butch” Somervill Jr., 68, of Parkersburg, passed away Sept. 2, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 2, 1944 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Rolla Dillon and Ruby Mae Somerville Somervill.

He was a self-employed truck driver and owned Somervill Motor Cars. He loved going to car shows. He belonged to the Boaz Lions Club and Fraternal Order of Police Associate Lodge. He was a member of the Pleasantview Baptist Church.

“Butch” is survived by his wife and companion of 49 years, Judy Evans Somervill; three daughters, Tina Coss (Paul Sr.) of Parkersburg, Kimberly Somervill of Dallas, Texas, and Stacey Morgan (R.J.) of Sistersville, W.Va.; a son, Darrin Somervill (Cathy) of Parkersburg; four sisters; three brothers; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Somervill.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va., with Loyd Winans officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
