James H. Cottrill
James H. Cottrill ,79, of Vienna, passed away Sept. 14, 2013.
Jim was born on Sept. 20, 1933, in Parkersburg to the late Harley and Michie Davis Cottrill.
Jim was in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1957 aboard the USS Wisconsin. He retired from DuPont in 1992 with 33 years of service. Jim was a 50-year member of Vienna Masonic Lodge 172 AF&AM, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Ben Bey Grotto, member of American Legion Post 15 and an honorary member of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Ann Bennett Cottrill; daughters, Judith See (Rick), Joyce Halley (Mark); and son, James Cottrill. Surviving are five grandchildren, Belinda Richards (Anthony), Andrew Bobier (Janice), Daniel Bobier (Angie), Rachel Halley and Justin Halley (Kim). Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, James Bobier, Chace Richards, Savanna and Sydney Hamilton and Ashlyn Halley. He is survived by his best friend, David Combs.
Preceding him in death are sisters, Gladys Foraker, Nelle Crout and Donna Dawkins; brother, Francis Cottrill; and his beloved dog, Josey.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with the Rev. Russell Wooten officiating, and military rites by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens, Vienna Lodge #172 A.F & AM Will conduct masonic services. Visitation will be today from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
