Genevieve Hall Dimmick, 90, of Morgantown, W.Va., formerly of St. Marys, W.Va., and Caldwell, Ohio, passed away Sept. 23, 2013, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born July 3, 1923, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Howard and Bird Nellis Hall. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Marys, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association, and a Kentucky Colonel.
She is survived by son, Fred (Linda) Dimmick; daughter, Sue Dimmick; grandchildren, Diana Grose, Steve (Amy) and Jerry Grose, Bill Dimmick, Katy (Scott) Jones and Britney Dimmick; great grandchildren, Danielle (Michael) Bettinger, Cassidy Niswonger, Anthony Grose, Payton Grose, Hannah Grose, Kylie Grose, Lexi Grose, Tyler Jones and Jacob Jones; great great grandson, Talon Bettinger; a niece, Martha (David) Fletcher; two nephews, John (Nancy) Hall and Scott Hall, and special family friend, Vicki Heale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Fred “Bill” Dimmick; a daughter, Jane (Dimmick) Grose; a brother, Julian Hall, and a nephew, Warren Hall.
Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Pastor Shawn Hall officiating. Interment will be in the Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, W.Va. Friends may call from 5-7:30 p.m. Friday and from noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
