Betty Weekley Tice

Betty Weekley Tice, 84, of St. Marys, W.Va., passed away Sept. 17, 2013, at Carehaven of Pleasants in Belmont, W.Va.

She was born, March 1, 1929, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Ruby Eddy Weekley. She was retired from the former Colin Anderson Center, where she had been the administrative Secretary for 28 years.

In her earlier years, she had been a secretary for the Monongahela Power Plant at Willow Island. She had been the first receptionist at Carehaven, and a volunteer office assistant for the City of Belmont. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of St. Marys. She was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Tice; a daughter, Carrie (Jeff) Robinson of Belmont; a granddaughter, Betsy (Scott) McCutcheon of Fairmont, W.Va.; three sisters, Evelyn Jones of Miamisburg, Ohio, Grace Fetty of Belmont, and Sue Wolfe of Waverly, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles Weekley and Tom (Ethel) Weekley all of St. Marys, and several nieces, nephews; great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Robinson, and two sisters, Georgia Weekley and Catherine Eddy.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Arnold Huyghebaert officiating. Interment will be in the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery, Park Section.
