Lindsay M. Alton
Lindsay Marie Alton, 25, of Parkersburg passed away Aug. 28, 2013, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
She was born in Parkersburg, the daughter of Gary L. Alton of Parkersburg and Carrie L. Yeager Alton of Parkersburg.
She was employed by the Camden Clark Medical Center. Lindsay was a cheerful outgoing person with a heart full of love for everyone she knew, she loved God and was loved by all who knew her. She was a 2006 graduate of the Carolina Springs Academy. Her favorite time of the year was the winter and she loved eating snow, she loved watching the NBA playoffs, the book “The Hunger Games” and cheerleading all through school. She was a member of the Grand Central Church of Christ and loved the youth groups, going to Camp Hervida in the summer and had gone on many mission trips.
In addition to her parents she is survived by the light of her life, her son Jordan Matthew Alton, her brother whom she adored, Matthew S. Alton of Parkersburg, her aunts and uncles, Chris Yeager (Susan) of Parkersburg, Cathy Shea (Joe) of Katy, Texas, Randy Alton (Robbin) of Parkersburg and Mary Balser (Ron) of Spencer, W.Va. Her cousins, Michael Shea (Elise), Jeramiah Alton, Alee Alton, Troy Alton, Shauna Yeager Jarrett (Aaron), Brian Yeager ( Nicole), Laura Balser Glass, Noah Balser and Emily Balser. Her paternal grandfather, Russ Alton (Patty) of Parkersburg and her maternal grandfather, John Yeager of Spencer, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Marie Alton, her maternal grandparents, Vic and Carolyn Vigneron, and her cousin, James Balser.
Funeral services will be Sunday 2 p.m. at the Grand Central Church of Christ with Evangelist Joe Spivey officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg and at the church one hour prior to the service.
