Marjorie Wolfe, 81, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away July 24, 2013, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, W.Va.
She was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Sandyville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Matthew Bennett and Ivy Finch Bennett.
Marjorie graduated from Ravenswood High School in 1950, and on June 13, 1951 she married her best friend, Earl Wolfe. She was past Noble Grand for the Heart and Hand Rebekka Lodge in Ravenswood. She helped form the Ravenswood Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She served the local community as a member of the Jackson County Republican Executive Committee, and she spent many, many hours in concession stands for Ravenswood sports.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Wolfe, Ravenswood; sons: Joe (Amber) Wolfe, Richard (Bonnie) Wolfe, and Randy (Sarah) Wolfe, all of Ravenswood; grandchildren, Brandon Wolfe, Parkersburg, Brett (Ashley) Wolfe, Parkersburg, Lindsey (Marcus) Roth, Pinch, W.Va., Ricky (Stacey) Wolfe, Ravenswood, Nicholas (Rachale) Wolfe, Ravenswood, Zachary Wolfe, Oak Ridge, Tenn., Jeff (Kara) Casto, Ripley, and Russ Casto, Ripley; great grandchildren: Easton and Madelyn Wolfe; Cooper and Paxton Roth; Elijah, Cyrus, Mya and Ava Casto.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jesse.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 2 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Rev. Shauna Hyde officiating. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Friday, from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial will be in the Ravenswood Cemetery
