Rev. Harold N. Tracewell, 75, Cheshire, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio.
Born Sept. 23, 1937 in Parkersburg, W.Va., son of the late Edward and Mildred (Lamb) Tracewell, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran and attended Mountain State College in Parkersburg. He married Delores Wright Tracewell Oct. 3, 1955 and became a Minister carrying on the word for over 52 years.
In that time, Harold ministered to many churches, including founding the Hope Baptist Church, Parkersburg; served as Sr. Pastor in several churches in Ohio and West Virginia, including Emmanuel Baptist, Brunswick; Willow Island Baptist, St. Marys; Ripley Tabernacle, Ripley; Cheshire Baptist, Cheshire, and he was currently the Pastor at Bulaville Christian Church, Gallipolis.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Jefferson Tracewell, Cheshire, Ohio, Edward (Carol) Tracewell, Parkersburg, and David (Sam) Tracewell, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Glen (Carolyn) Tracewell, Parkersburg; sister, Irene (Robert) Seay, Bolivia, N.C. and brother-in-law, Elmer Wright, Cheshire.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mary Ann Griffith.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, in the Bulaville Christian Church, Gallipolis with Pastor Bob Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire, Ohio. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Gallia County Veterans Service Organizations Funeral Detail. Josephine Ann Hart
Josephine Ann Hart, infant daughter of Steven Brent and Julia Ann (David) Hart, Canal Winchester, Ohio, was stillborn at 10:57 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, in Dublin Methodist Hospital.
She is survived by her maternal grandmother Katherine “Tass” (Stefanak) David, and her paternal grandparents, Harold “Bud” Hart and Donna (Cunningham) Hart, Washington, W.Va., and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was greeted in heaven by her maternal grandfather Francis J. David.
A private funeral service will be held in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, Dutch Lane, Hermitage, with interment to follow.
