N. Elizabeth (Libby) (Grammy) Headley, 94, of Parkersburg passed away May 15, 2013, at the Willows.
She was born July 12, 1918, at Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Rae Roxie Somerville Hickman. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church where she was a member of the quilting club and was also a former member of the South Parkersburg Women’s Club and had formerly worked for 14 years at American Viscose and 27 years at Big Bear Grocery.
Survivors include two daughters Sherry (Larry) Villers of Parkersburg, and Ann E. Dowler (Bernard) of Ripley, four grandchildren Shelly Villers, David Villers, Lisa Martin (Aaron) and Dustin Dowler, two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Sophie Martin; several nieces and nephews including special niece and nephew Judy Sellers and Steve Stanley, as well as a special thank you to neighbors, Macy and Micky Metz and Mike and Dave Boice.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, is her husband Howard E. Headley, two brothers, Robert Lee Hickman and Ed Hickman; one half brother, Ray Hickman, and two sisters, Garnet Hunt and Elma Stanley.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg. The family will accept visitors from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial will be at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.
