Donald “Don” “Mr. Wonderful” Johnson

Donald Johnson, 61, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away April 25, 2013, at his home.

Don was born in Wood County, W.Va., Aug. 20, 1951, a son of the late Charles Otto and Evelyn Beatrice Bolen Johnson. Don had previously worked at Evergreen North Cemetery and Walker Parkersburg. He was a long time self-employed salesman with Life-Force/A.L. Williams. He enjoyed drag racing and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, and long time supporter of Parkersburg South Athletics, his alma mater. Don was also a member of The National Hot Rod Association “NHRA”.

Don is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa Dale Flinn Johnson; two daughters, Kristina Johnson of Los Angelas, Calif., and Brooklyn Johnson of Vienna; three sons, Rick Johnson of Parkersburg, Andy Johnson of Vienna, and Cameron Johnson, also of Vienna; four sisters, Helen McCloud (Claire) of Jackson, Ohio, Karen Johnston (Dale) of North Carolina, Donna Lowers (Ron) of Kanawha, W.Va., and Rhonda Dountz (Steve) of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; four brothers, Glen of Coolville, Ohio, Lewis, also of Coolville, Charles “Chuck” (Vickie) of North Carolina, and John Johnson (Beulah) of Vincent, Ohio; three grandchildren, Dana, Krysti and Charlotte Johnson; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Johnston and Janet Sines; two brothers, Raymond and Gerald; and three other infant siblings.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
