Beatrice ‘Betsy’ Frum Caltrider

Beatrice “Betsy” Frum Caltrider, 82, of Williamstown, passed away March 2, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 15, 1930, in Williamstown, a daughter of Mary Elizabeth Page Frum and Carlton Truman Frum.

Betsy was a graduate of Williamstown High School Class of 1948, and Ohio Valley College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management. She was a member of Williamstown Woman’s Club, co-chaired Williamstown Wetlands Preservation, was a member of Musettes and was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church, where she created the After School Program.

On April 16, 1949, she married Wade D. Caltrider, who survives with three daughters, Debra (David) Penrose of Centennial, Colo., Darcie (Stephen) Ash of Marietta and Daryn (Jeff) Deem of Ripley, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Penrose (Craig) Beckman, Eryn Penrose, Logan P. (Misty) Ash, Lexi Ash, Ethan Ash, Preston Deem and Parker Deem; four great-grandchildren, Peyton Beckman, Haston Penrose, Ari Beckers and Addison Ash. She is also survived by her brother, Robert C. Frum; sister, Barbara Bever; sister-in-law, Dorothy Frum; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Darrelyn; grandson, Evan Morgan Penrose; and brother, C.William Frum.

Memorial services will be noon Wednesday at Gilman United Methodist Church, Marietta, with Pastor Diann O’Bryant officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service Wednesday.
