Adele Ferguson

Adele Ferguson, 93, of Parkersburg, departed this life on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the Arbors of Marietta.

Adele was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Sapulpa, Okla., a daughter of the late Ralph and Exie (Witt) Dick. Adele spent her time as a wonderful housewife for her loving family. She greatly enjoyed being a housewife and she loved her grandchildren dearly. Adele was Church of God by faith.

She is survived by her son, Calvin ‘Randy’ Dailey and wife Gloria of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Dr. Cathy Dailey of Parkersburg and Mark Dailey of Springfield, Ala.; great-granddaughter, Carolyn Audrey Dailey of Parkersburg; brother, Thomas Dick of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Vernadeen ‘Dee’ Singer and husband Bud of Clarksville, Tenn., and Mary Frances Haddix of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J. Earl Ferguson; grandson, Randy Earl Dailey; brothers, Robert, Ralph and Lester Dick; and her sister, Jackie Dick.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Larry Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
