Vicki Joe Dennis Gheen, 63, of Washington, W.Va., passed away Jan. 13, 2013, at her home unexpectedly.
She was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Pearl Leon and Betty Stewart Dennis. Vicki was a member of the Williamstown First Baptist Church, and more recently attended Lubeck Community Baptist Church. Vicki was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and The School of Nursing. She was currently employed at the St. Marys Correctional Center as the Director of Health Care Services and was a former employee of Camden Clark Medical Center and Selby Hospital. She had also been employed by Dr. Kenton Harris. She enjoyed watching football, all types of car racing and enjoyed watching her nephew play basketball for Parkersburg South High School.
Surviving is her husband, Clinton J. Gheen; one son, Patrick (Vicki) Gheen of Vienna; two brothers, Rev. James Leon (Myra) Dennis of Hurricane and Douglas Paul (Mary Margaret) Dennis of Washington; one sister, Saundra Jean (Jack) Watkins of Delaware; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Vicki will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street, Parkersburg; Rev. Mark Houser will officiate. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
