Faye Evelyn Bailey Cowdery, 81, of Belpre, and a resident of Genesis Health Care in Sistersville, and a more recent resident of the Willows for the past two months, passed away Jan. 13, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 7, 1931, at Reedsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late William Bailey and Rita Margaret Wilson Bailey. She had attended the Calvary Community Church, and was a former employee of Barnes Grocery Store and Vera’s Restaraunt. She enjoyed cooking.
Surviving is her son, Stephen B. (Linda Brown) Cowdery of Seabrook, Texas; one daughter, Susan (the late Tom) Lemon of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Ansil Bailey of Parkersburg; two sisters, Betty Damron of Ravenna, Ohio and Ruth Myers of Silver Ridge, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Cowdery; a daughter, Sharon Jean Rizer Chambers; four brothers, Donald, Gene, James and William Bailey; and a sister, Rosie Bailey.
There will be no funeral service; however, there will be a visitation with viewing from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street, Parkersburg.
