ATHENS — Athens County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on March 22.
* The Sheriff’s Office received a report from an Old State Route 56 resident stating she was contacted by a credit card company claiming her social security number was used in attempt to open a credit card. The card was never issued.
* The Sheriff’s Office responded to Back Street in Millfield for a report of a neighbor dispute. The complainant reported a neighbor having illegal sewage piping. Deputies spoke with the neighbor who advised they are in the process of adding an addition to their home as well as extra sewage lines for their septic system. The complainant was referred to the Athens County Health Department for further concerns.
* The Sheriff’s Office responded to Front Street in Glouster for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The caller said a black car, possibly a Chevy Cobalt, was driving erratically and stopping at vacant houses. Deputies patrolled the area finding no activity but located a secured and unoccupied vehicle matching the description nearby. Having no evidence of criminal activity, deputies logged the vehicle information should additional follow-up be needed.
