ATHENS — The Athens County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on Aug. 29.
* The sheriff’s office received a report that a vehicle was entered on First Street in Buchtel. The vehicle was unlocked and approximately $10 in change was taken.
* The sheriff’s office responded to Maple Street for a report of an overdose. While enroute, the call changed to a domestic disturbance as the original subject awoke and started fighting with his sister. The subjects on scene were not cooperative and no further information was discovered. The original subject appeared to be alert and able to take care of himself.
* The sheriff’s office was dispatched to Maple Street for a report of an individual passed out for alleged drug use. At the time of the call, there was also some danger of a fire and smoke throughout the residence that was dealt with by a volunteer fire fighter that happened to be in the area. EMS responded and transported the subject to O’Bleness Hospital for further evaluation.
* The sheriff’s office received several calls from Angela J. McGrath reporting everything from drug trafficking to drug overdoses all over the county. Contact was made with McGrath at her Jacksonville home. McGrath on this particular 911 call requested a deputy at her location to take her to jail. Deputies accommodated this request after speaking with McGrath and finding her to be intoxicated to the point she was a risk to herself and others. McGrath was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.
