Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — On July 10 the following reports were released by Washington County Sheriff’s Department:

July 3

* Deputy A. McConnell began an investigation in reference to stolen medications from a resident.

* Amy Sparks, 2020 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, reported a Honda 4 wheeler and a Canam 4 wheeler stolen from her residence. This case remains under investigation.

* Deputy Johnson responded to 165 Starlight Drive Lot 30, Marietta, to a report of domestic violence. It was reported Jerad Key’s son, Matthew Key, had been drinking heavily and started a confrontation with Jerad. Investigation revealed Jerad struck Matthew in the face and Matthew had been drinking a large amount of alcohol on this date. Matthew Jerad Key, 18, 1629 Cook Road, Oak Grove, La., was placed under arrest for underage consumption. Jerad W. Key, 41, 1629 Cook Road, Oak Grove, La., was charged with domestic violence. Both men were transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Matthew tested .178 on PBT upon arrival at the jail.

July 4

* Deputy A. McConnell was dispatched to 693 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, to meet with individuals who were reporting a domestic dispute between Douglas Wriston and Sarah Lightner. Wriston met deputies and said Lightner walked out the back door into the woods. Investigation revealed Wriston had poured a small amount of water on Lightner when she kept falling asleep, trying to get her to wake up. Lightner became angry and head-butted, punched, and choked Wriston. Lightner also pulled out a sword and attempted to stab Wriston. Wriston requested a protection order be issued. A warrant is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for Sarah M. Lightner, 36, for felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

* Deputy Jones was dispatched to 204 Ferry St., Beverly, to meet with Richard Flood, who called the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center 26 times on July 3 and 15 times on July 4. Flood has been advised numerous times not to call the sheriff’s office if there is not an emergency. Flood was asked to come outside and speak with deputies. Flood said someone known to him had been beating him up for years. Flood appeared fine to Deputy Jones and he was advised to put his dog in the residence. Flood asked if he was going to jail and when told yes, went back into the home after being told not to return inside. Flood refused to listen to instructions given by Deputy Jones, and continued to kick and scream. Richard Carl Flood, 52, was placed under arrest and charged with resisting arrest and telephone harassment, and transported to the Washington County Jail.

* Brittany Nicole Casto, 4404 9th Avenue, Vienna, was cited for speed, 80 mph in a 50 mph zone.

July 5

* Deputy Zide conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Marrilee K. Hatziantoniou, 25236 Chase Drive, N. Olmstead, Ohio. An odor of marijuana was detected at which time passenger Gage N. Ellis admitted to smoking marijuana in the vehicle and having a small amount of marijuana remaining, officials said. Zide located container and bags which contained marijuana and partially smoked marijuana blunts. Ellis and Hatziantoniou allegedly admitted ownership of the contraband. A summons is being requested for Marrilee Katelyn Hatziantoniou, 18, and Gage Nicholas Ellis, 19, 23993 Gessner Road, N. Olmsted, for possession of marijuana.

* Sgt. Holbert responded to Ohio 339 Park and Ride, Belpre, in reference to Rachael Bernice Campbell at that location and there being warrants for her arrest. Campbell fled on foot from the area and after locating Campbell on Corridor D bridge off-ramp, Sgt. Holbert made contact with Campbell. Campbell was placed under arrest on the warrants and upon checking her belongings two syringes were located, one with an unknown substance. Campbell denied the syringes were hers, stating someone put them in her belongings. Campbell, 34, 5380 Johnson Ridge Road, Waterford, was placed under arrest and charged with drug abuse instruments along with the warrants.

* Deputy Schwendeman along with the Dunham and Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the George Ruth home to a report of a truck on fire.

July 6

* Deputy Allender was dispatched to 1308 Williamson Ave., Apt. 1B, New Matamoras, in reference to an active domestic dispute between Latasha Johnson and Sherman Larrimore II. Information was received that Johnson was able to get away from Larrimore and would be at another location. Johnson saids she and Larrimore were in a verbal argument which escalated into Larrimore grabbing Johnson and throwing her to the ground. Larrimore reportedly straddled Johnson and struck her in the face. Sherman Lee Larrimore Jr., 36, was later located and placed under arrest for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, and transported to the Washington County Jail.

* Deputy Allender was dispatched to Thompson’s Landscaping, 26130 Ohio 7, Marietta, in reference to an employee theft. Deputies learned a report showed a number of refunds for cash, which were fraudulent. Jessica Ryan English, 38, 311 Virginia St., Marietta, was arrested on an unrelated warrant and also charged with theft and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

The following individuals were recently sentenced in Washington County Common Pleas Court:

* Herman James Dalton, 32, probation violation, 120 days county jail.

* Heather Dawn Thompson, 29, probation violation, original charges trafficking in drugs, F4 and F5, and illegal conveyance into a detention facility; 900 days county jail.

* Jamey Joe Friend, 41, theft F3, breaking and entering F5 and breach of recognizance F4; 24 months Orient.

* Phillip Dale West, Jr., 30, abusing harmful intoxicants F5; 150 days County Jail and Star Program.

* Corey Enos Singer, 39, domestic violence F4, violating protection order F5, 110 days County Jail and Star Program.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail Monday and Tuesday:

* Frederick Gale McKitrick, 36, homeless, on warrants for failure to appear, three counts, felonies, theft, obstructing official business, criminal trespass, breach of recognizance and contempt of court, misdemeanors.

* Zachery Ryan Ferguson, 23, 98 Boaz Garden Drive, Apt. 39, Williamstown, probation violation, felony.

* Vashun Dmond Logan, 28, 15 Milton Drive, Greenville, S.C., speeding and driving while under the influence of alcohol, misdemeanors.
