ATHENS, Ohio — On June 28 the following reports were released by Athens County Sheriff’s Department:

June 27

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Beech Road in The Plains for a criminal damaging report. Multiple subjects on scene said their vehicles had the tires slashed. The incident is under investigation and anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

* Deputies were dispatched to Ohio 550 on a report of two male subjects breaking into a truck. Deputies arrived on scene, and the males were later located.

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a 70-inch television was stolen while she was moving out of her residence in the Village of Chauncey. The value of the television was more than $1,000. The case is under investigation.

* Deputies were called to a wellness check in The Plains for a male behaving strangely in the Subway. Upon contact, Zachary Webb was found to be covered in his own feces and was disoriented. When deputies attempted to arrest Webb for disorderly conduct, he became severely combative and a lengthy fight ensued before he was ultimately restrained and placed in the cruiser. Webb was transported to SEORJ on charges of persistent disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and possession of drug abuse instruments.

* Deputies responded to Second Street in Jacksonville for a theft report. The caller said sometime overnight someone took a blue folding ladder and about 24 solar lights from her yard. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.

ATHENS, Ohio — On June 29 the following reports were released by Athens County Sheriff’s Department:

June 28

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Potter Road in Amesville for cattle at large. Deputy spoke with the complainant and persons responsible for the cattle. Where the cattle escaped was being repaired on arrival. As of report date and time approximately 40 head of cattle were missing. If cattle are found loose in this area persons are asked to contact ACSO.

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office took a report a camera was stolen from a South 11th Street, Jacksonville residence. The complainant said the camera had been set down at the residence and a short while later was missing. There were several people in the home at the time of the theft.

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office was called to a drug overdose on Kimberly Road, Nelsonville. The male was transported to O’Bleness for treatment.

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Kimberly Meadows for a report of theft. Deputies were told a caregiver had withdrawn an amount of money from an elderly client without permission. Deputies obtained a statement and requested further information.

* The Athens County Sheriff’s Office was called to Strouds Run State Park for a report of juveniles swimming and diving on the overflow bridge by the dam. Contact was made with the juveniles who were asked to leave due to the hazards in the water there.
