MARIETTA — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports April 18:
* On April 17, a deputy responded to 920 Lake Road, Belpre, regarding Ashley Cheyenne Daugherty, 18, 231 Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, coming to the residence in reference to a custody issue. Cameron James Cowan, 24, and Daugherty have a child in common. Cowan reported Daugherty slapped him across the side of his face during this altercation. Cowan’s father was advising Daugherty to leave the property when she advised him she was going to “bust” him in the head. Cowan and his father requested a temporary protection order issued. Daugherty was located at her residence and was cooperative with deputies when she admitted to “swinging” at Cowan, but stated she did not threaten his father. Daugherty was placed under arrest for domestic violence and menacing and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
* On April 18, deputies responded to Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, to a report of domestic violence. The victim/juvenile in this complaint had allegedly struck another individual at this location. Through investigation it was determined that Joshua Ryan Lewis had driven one juvenile to a location in Newport, which was in violation of a protection order. Upon locating the vehicle and occupant, Lewis, it was determined that he had given the juvenile a ride. Joshua Ryan Lewis, 33, 15 Millhouse Road, Newport, was placed under arrest for violation of a protection order and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

* Tessa Ann Blair, 11688 Peach Ridge Road, Athens, for failure to appear, original charge tampering with evidence.
* Robert E. O’Brien Jr., 206 Alderman St., Marietta, for failure to appear, original charge breaking and entering.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Monday and Tuesday:
* Ashley Cheyenne Daugherty, 18, 231 Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence and menacing, both misdemeanors. Daugherty was arrested at her residence by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 17at 5:31 p.m.
* Zackariah Harold Earley, 28, 176 Dana Run Road, Newport, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Earley was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 17 at 8:12 p.m.
* Elton Dean Hart Jr., 41, 2701 State Route 83, Beverly, for having weapons while under disability, a felony. Hart was arrested in Watertown by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 17 at 8:57 p.m.
* Tamika Cherie Anderson, 29, 2105 Miller Ave., Belpre, for conspiracy/forgery, a felony. Anderson was arrested in Belpre by the Belpre Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 12:25 a.m.
* Stephen Patrick Anderson, 59, 1611 Andrew St., Parkersburg, for driving under suspension and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanor warrants. Anderson was arrested at the Marietta Municipal Court by the Marietta Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 9:49 a.m.
* Joshua Ryan Lewis, 33, 15 Millhouse Road, Newport, for violation of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Lewis was arrested the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on April 18 at 2 p.m.

MARIETTA — On April 19 the Washington County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports:
April 17
* Lt. Gherke responded to Muskingum Township to a report of a juvenile, age 13, striking his/her mother. An argument at the home resulted in the juvenile scratching his/her mother. Charges of juvenile delinquent due to domestic violence are being requested through the Washington County Juvenile Court.
* Deputy Hall was patrolling the area of Lake Road, Belpre, when he observed two vehicles pulled off of the roadway. Deputy Hall stopped to check the occupants and made contact with the drivers, Samantha Lemon, 504 West St., Belpre, and David Wriston, 683 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta. Both Lemon and Wriston advised they drove to this location, and it was found that they both were under suspension regarding driving privileges. A citation was issued to each party for driving under suspension.
April 18
* The Ohio Highway State Highway Patrol requested the investigation of a vehicle crash. Deputy McKee responded to 28700 Ohio 7, and found the Reno Volunteer Fire Department squad on scene. Deputy McKee observed a 2006 Chrysler in a residential yard, up against a gas meter. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Gale Darleene Astraitis, 61, 900 Boulevard Drive, Belpre, was sitting in the driver’s seat. Contact with Astraitis was made, in which an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on or about her person. Astraitis admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages, but due to her slurred speech it was difficult to understand how many she consumed. Astraitis submitted to a standardized field sobriety field, which indicated she was above the legal limit. Astraitis was arrested for OVI and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Astraitis submitted to the BAC test with the result being .244.

* Sterling Roberts, 2006 Washington Creek Lane, Dayton, Ohio, for failure to appear.
* Cody D. Whiting, 486 Riverside Road, Elizabeth, for violation of a protection order.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Tuesday and Wednesday
* Gale Darleene Astraitis, 61, 900 Boulevard Drive, Belpre, for OVI, and reckless operation, both misdemeanors. Astraitis was arrested by Deputy McKee of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
* Brian Keith Hitchcock, 37, 111 E. Spring St., Marietta, for drug paraphernalia, drug possession, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors. Hitchcock was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department.
* Brandon Lee Richards, 24, 604 Ferry St., Beverly, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Richards was arrested on Green Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department.
* Freddy Dale Taylor Jr., 45, 729 Ninth St., Marietta, for OVI, driving under suspension and drug possession, all misdemeanors. Taylor was arrested at the Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman McElroy of the Marietta City Police Department.
* Coree Gene Johnson, 25, 1562 Gene St., Belpre, for probation violation, a felony. Johnson was arrested at the Adult Parole Authority Office by Deputy Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
* Abraham James Cejka, 32, Marietta, for probation violation, a misdemeanor. Cejka was arrested at the Marietta City Probation Department by Patrolman Dennison of the Marietta City Police Department.
* Jennifer Louise Guess, 29, 3829 Independence Road, Cleveland, on a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor. Guess turned herself in at the jail.
