Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — On April 25 the following reports were released by Wood County Magistrate Court:

* Dustin Ray Kinney, 24, 4363 Oak Grove Road, Walker, was arraigned in Wirt County for Wood County on a charge of malicious or unlawful assault and use or presentation of a firearm during the commission of a felony and is in custody in lieu of a $150,000 surety bond.

* Shelby Jewel Scott, 28, 221 Sheldoln Ave., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, heroin, with intent to deliver and is in custody in lieu of a $100,000 personal recognizance bond with 10 percent cash.

* Robert Allen Scott, 36, 17125 S. Canaan Road, Athens, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended or revoked license for DUI and no proof of insurance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Brian C. Fox, 19, 2850 Ackley Road, Guysville, pleaded guilty to two counts of no seat belt and was assessed a $50 fine.

* Robert Edward McNemar, 58, 1229 22nd St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to an open container citation and was assessed $210.25 in fines and court fees.

* Devin Alexander Gregory, 22, 4321 12th Ave., Apt. 1, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of intimidating a witness, violation of bond and obstructing an officer and was released on a $3,000 bond.

* Marcel Willie Canty, 39, 2024 17th St., Apt. 8, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a domestic battery charge, was sentenced to 12 months in jail and was assessed $160.25 in fines and court fees.

* Jeremy Allen Wilson, 32, 854 Fairview Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a first-offense DUI charge, was sentenced to nine hours served and was assessed $335.25 in fines and court fees.

* Robert Lee Cunningham, 30, 47 S. Fifth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of violation of a protective order, was sentenced to 24 hours in jail and was assessed $410.15 in fines and court fees.

* Kenneth Eugene Wriston Jr., 42, 303 38th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to a truancy citation and was assessed $260.25 in fines and court fees.

* Brianna Marie Bland, 22, 1519 1/2 15th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a petit larceny charge, was sentenced to 30 days in jail suspended for one year unsupervised probation and was assessed $360.25 in fines and court fees.

* Bryan Michael Vandergrift, 44, 1628 Ridgeway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a citation for leaving the scene of an accident and was assessed $280.25 in fines and court fees.

Wood Sheriff

PARKERSBURG — On April 25 the Wood County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports:

April 24

* Donald Alex Bassett, 32, of Creel Drive, Mineral Wells, turned himself in on an active warrant for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person; he was processed then arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Deputies responded to U.S. 50 westbound in reference to a vehicle crash. Stephen Andrew McElfresh, 21, of Torch Road, Coolville, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

* Deputies responded to North Hickory Street in reference to assisting home confinement officers at that location. A citation was issued to the girlfriend of the home confinement client, Stormie Antoinette Chipps, 21, for possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana.

April 25

* Devin Alexander Gregory, 22, of Woodcliff Drive, was arrested on charges of domestic battery, domestic assault, obstructing an officer and unlawful restraint (Celena’s Law).

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — On April 25 the Washington County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports:

April 19

* Deputy Johnson responded to Barlow Township to a report of an unruly child. Due to the circumstances surrounding the child, a summons for unruly child will be requested through Washington County Juvenile Court.

April 23

* Michael R. Johnson, 12540 Ohio 550, Fleming, was backing from a parking space at the Par Mar, Ohio 339, Barlow, when he struck a gas meter.

* Angelo A. Vance, 3680 Upper Archer’s Fork Road, New Matamoras, reported items removed from the home.

April 24

* Kathy L. Jones, 10 Second St., Vincent, reported a license plate taken from a vehicle.

The following subjects were recently sentenced in Washington County Common Pleas Court:

* John David Ragalyi, 31, homeless, contempt of court; 24 days in jail.

* Josh Leroy Gore, 29, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, fifth-degree felony assault; 60 days in county jail.

* Chadwick Lynn Smearman, 35, 570 Albright Road, Beverly, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; burglary, second-degree felony; 11 months (drugs) and four years (burglary), concurrent.

The following suspects were processed into the Washington County Jail Monday and Tuesday:

* Tessa Ann Blair, 24, 27927 Huckleberry Road, Coolville, on warrants for tampering with evidence and possession of criminal tools, and probation violation, a misdemeanor. Blair was arrested at the Athens County line by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

* Aaron Mace, 40, 30745 Ohio 7, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mace was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

* Julie Renee Rinard, 47, 132 Acme St., Marietta, for theft, a felony. Rinard was arrested by Deputy A. McConnell of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Athens Sheriff

ATHENS, Ohio– On April 25 the Athens County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports:

April 24

* Deputies were dispatched to East Belpre Pike Road in Coolville on a report of a suspicious vehicle with a female sitting in a pull-off area near the highway. Upon arriving on scene, the vehicle was located and the female was identified as Tessa Delaney, 24, of Athens. She was then found to have warrants for her arrest out of Washington County and was placed under arrest. Upon deputies searching the vehicle, methamphetamine was located along with paraphernalia and items used for trafficking narcotics.

* Deputies were asked to patrol the area of Bean Hollow Road, Athens, for possible drug activity. Patrol in the area yielded no signs of suspicious activity at that time.
