ATHENS, Ohio — On March 9 the Athens County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports:
* The Sheriff’s Office received a call from Shana Hall-Snyder advising she had active warrants from Perry County and wished to turn herself in to local authorities. Warrants were confirmed with Perry County and a deputy responded to Happy Valley trailer park to meet with Shana. Shana Snyder, 39, of New Lexington, was located and taken into custody without incident.
* Tyler Brown, 24, of Athens, was arrested in Chauncey on active warrants out of Athens County Common Pleas Court.
* Deputies made contact with an individual regarding a barking dog complaint. Animals were taken inside for the evening and problem resolved.
* Deputies responded to a Nurad Road residence in Athens for a report of suspicious persons. The caller stated two men were outside their residence requesting help with vehicle trouble. The caller could not see a disabled vehicle and requested assistance. Deputies made contact with both males who stated their vehicle was broken down farther down the road and requested assistance. While speaking with the subjects, it was determined Terran K. Smith, 35, of Athens, had an active warrant out of Athens County, was placed into custody and transported without incident. Deputies were able to assist the other subject in making contact with a family member who then arrived on scene to assist the man with the disabled vehicle.
