Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — On Feb. 10 the Washington County Sheriff’s Department released the following reports:

Feb. 9

* Deputy Black met with Roger L. Leasure, 180 Mitchell Drive, Newport, in reference to a trespassing complaint. This case remains under investigation.

* Deputy Black was dispatched to meet with Patricia West in reference to an incident of domestic violence which took place on the night of Feb. 8 at 202 Duncan Drive, New Matamoras. West advised that Joshua Beaver forcibly held her against her will and assaulted her several times. West was eventually able to leave the residence and come to Marietta.

West and Beaver have lived together for the past three years. Deputy Black attempted to meet with Beaver; however he would not disclose his location stating he knew he was going to be in trouble. Beaver advised Deputy Black he and Patricia had an argument and he attempted to keep her from leaving because the roads were bad and he felt she was too impaired to be driving. Beaver denied ever physically touching Patricia or assaulting her. Deputy Black is requesting a warrant be issued by Marietta Municipal Court for the arrest of Joshua Alan Beaver, 37, 202 Duncan Drive, New Matamoras, for the offense of domestic violence, a felony in this case. A temporary protection order is also requested by West.

* Deputy Johnson began an investigation in reference to Performance Auto Repair and Machine, 32 Burchette Alley, Waterford, reporting a possible forgery.

* Par Mar Store, 66 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, reported items stolen from the business, two 12 packs of Coke.
